Manning to Denver Broncos

Will it soon be Mile High Manning ?  Denver Broncos have evidently reached a tentative agreement with Peyton Manning in a 5 year contract. In mixed reviews, fans are both elated to get him and sad to likely be losing Tebow.

Winter Snow Warning a Miss

After 24 hours of Winter Watch, Storm Warnings and Snow Alerts, it was the event that never happened. The 12 inch prediction for La Veta turned into only  a 2 inch trace of powder. And the 18 inch expected for Cuchara didn’t happen either.  Too bad, because we do need the moisture.  Forecast next week into the 60’s.

FHA re-fi’s Cost Drops

According to the FHA, currently, 3.4 million households with loans endorsed on or before May 31, 2009, pay more than a five percent annual interest rate on their FHA-insured mortgages. By refinancing through the FHA’s streamlined process with the lower insurance costs and lower interest rates, borrowers could save an estimated $250 a month or $3,000 a year. If your loan is current, they waive any new appraisal and credit scoring requirements.

Pending Contracts and Closings Rise

The Cuchara Valley has experienced a significant increase in new Contracts recently. Jan-Feb saw more same period contracts written or closed than we have had in the past several years. Here at Bachman & Assoc. we seem to be following National Trends. Pending home sales are on an upward trend, which has been uneven but meaningful since reaching a cyclical low last April, and are well above a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors®.
