Mortgage Loan Rates

Fixed-Rate Mortgages Lowest on Record —– Freddie Mac has released the results of its Mortgage Market Survey.  The conventional 30-year fixed averaged an all-time record low at 4.01 percent and the 15-year fixed averaged an all-time record low at 3.28 percent for the week. Of the five regions surveyed in Freddie Mac’s survey, the West region recorded the lowest average rate for the 30-year fixed dipping below 4.00 percent to 3.95 percent.

Celtic Festival Week

Our Spanish Peaks Internatinal Celtic Music Festival begins this week with an opening Ceilidh party in at the Dog Bar in Cuchara on Thursday at 1:15.   The 7th Annual Festival is again full of national Celtic entertainers from throughout Scotland and Ireland. With 5 complete shows plus a number of clinics and demonstrations, this has become a wonderful weekend tradition here for the Cuchara Valley. Winter Warning

The cool Fall days have been wonderful but today’s weather forecast is not as welcome. Rain showers this afternoon turning to snow flurries (above 10,000 ft.) overnight.  YIKES.  Oak hillsides are beginning to turn orange and red so the yellow aspens won’t be far behind now.
